The Law of Perpetual Transmutation-
* Energy moves into physical form.
* The images you hold in your mind most often materialize in results in your life.
The Law of Relativity-
* Nothing is good or bad, big or small. until you RELATE it to something.
* Practice realting your situation to something much worse and yours will always look good.
The Law of Vibration and Attraction-
* Everything vibrates, nothing rests.
* Conscious awareness of vibration is called feeling. Your thoughts control your paradigms and your vibration (which dictates what you attract).
* When you are not feeling good, become aware of what you are thinking, then think of something pleasant.
The Law of Polarity-
* Everything has an opposite: Hot - cold . Up - down . Good - Bad.
* Constantly look for the good in people and situations. When you find it, tell the person. People love compliments and the positive idea in your mind makes you feel good. Remember, good idea - good vibrations.
The Law of Rhythm-
* The tide goes out . night follows day . good times - bad times.
* When you are on a down swing, do not feel bad. Know the swing will change and things will get better. There are good times coming - think of them.
The Law of Cause and Effect-
* whatever you send into the Universe comes back. Action -- re-action are equal and opposite.
* Say good things to everyone; treat everyone with total respect and it will all come back. Never worry about what you are going to get, just concentrate on what you can give.
The Law of Gender-
* Every seed has a gestation or incubation period. Ideas are spiritual seeds and will move into form or physical results.
* Your goals will manifest when the time is right. KNOW they will.
So . why am I bringing these up?
Because YOU can utilize these Laws of our Universe to bring UNTOLD wealth into your life; wealth in health, wealth in relationships (spiritual, family, personal, business), and financial wealth.
Wallace D. Wattles (the author of the book written in 1910 entitled The Science of Getting Rich) states Getting rich is the result of doing things in a certain way. That is the largest truth I can share with any of my family and friends (this includes you, who are reading this). That statement, and these Laws have already done so much for me with their use value. I've experienced an enlightening, in the sense that I no longer dread debt. I no longer have astranged relationships with my family and friends that at one time I had. I no longer see life as being a half empty glass now it's abundantly full.
I first learned about The Secret through my sister, back in February of this year, and caught a special on Oprah about it on my birthday that month. The show was very uplifting and had me researching the Teachers in the program, and beginning to read their books. After a few months I decided that this was undoubtedly for me. at the time of my learning and research my son and I had a rather strained relationship and we had not been close for over a year and a half; and through the power of Positive Thinking, and applying the Law of Vibration and Attraction to my life, we were able to rediscover and strengthen our relationship. We've now embarked on this journey together.
We are now on Myspace, Facebook and several other social networking sites, meeting like minded people who are either currently applying the Laws of the Universe to their lives, or are interested in learning how I (and my son) are utilizing these Laws in our daily lives. this site has already paid for its worth in gold with the genuine interest and relationships we are building here. we are Attracting people, and letting them Attract us. we are not spammers, we don't want to impose anywhere where we've not been asked. but imagine applying these Laws to your life, and how abundant things can be when approaching the same situations with such a different mindset. this is a truly mind encompassing, re-wiring of sorts, to put all your negative thoughts, emotions and energy to rest, and instead allowing you to control the positive thoughts, emotions and energy out into the world to start Attracting everything your heart desires.
Well . what do I mean by that statement?
I mean that everything that you put out into this Universe, through the power of your thoughts and dreams and actions, can and will come to fruition, if given the time. I am most certainly NOT saying you'll get rich if you wait for it. but what I am saying is, starting today, RIGHT NOW, start changing your outlook. Visualize sitting on the beach, or in the rain forest, and don't think oh I don't have the time to take off or that takes too much money instead, visualize and realize that sand can be in between your toes, that ocean can be lapping at your feet, with your eyes closed, and the sound of the waves crashing. Doesn't that just wet your lips? I know it does mine (I personally LOVE the ocean and the beach).
All it takes is the knowledge, and though I can give you a gateway to that knowledge, you have to want it, you have to walk through that doorway, BUT I am here to provide you with that first step. these are my promises for a sweet life promising myself that day to day I will reaffirm everything I already know, and continue utilizing these tools, and spreading the word of their use to people of all ages who are willing to listen. I want to offer you a FREE Gift that opened my eyes and has started me on this journey of personal growth and development . because that's exactly what this is.

One of the hottest trends in make-up today is loose-powder mineral cosmetics. With brand names like naked, bare and pure, one would think that mineral makeup is one of the best products for your skin. to a point that's true. because many of the traditional additives in cosmetics - fragrance, filler, binders, synthetic dyes and preservatives - are not a part of mineral makeup, these new, natural cosmetics are easier on the skin, but don't be fooled. According to WebMD, the major mineral components in this trendy new make-up have been the basis of most makeup foundations for decades. What's more, many of the ingredients are actually synthetically formulated, which takes nature right out of the picture, in a manner of speaking.
Here's the lowdown on the 4 most common minerals found in today's hottest cosmetics:
Iron Oxide. more commonly known as rust, certain isotopes of iron oxide have been used since prehistoric times as pigments, paints and dyes. different chemical configurations create different colors, most often red, brown, yellow and black tones. there is a large concentration of iron oxide on Mars, thus giving it the red hue, and the nickname the red planet. According to Wikipedia, however: Iron oxides graded safe for cosmetic use are produced synthetically in order to avoid the inclusion of ferrous or ferric oxides, and impurities normally found in naturally occurring iron oxides.
Nature's minerals being replicated in a lab? Doesn't sound very natural to me
Titanium Dioxide. From paint, to sunscreen to food coloring, this naturally occurring substance has also been used in cosmetics for decades - primarily as a thickener and, more recently, for the SPF protection that it provides. Most dermatologists would agree, however that no matter the SPF, mineral makeup by itself is not enough sun protection for the skin of your face. Dermatologists recommend a minimum SPF rating of 25 for face protection. and never tuck yourself in at night without washing your face. no makeup is pure enough to sleep in it. Plus the recent concerns over the recent classification of titanium dioxide as a group 2B carcinogen have people reexamining the benefits of the mineral. this classification indicates that the mineral could be potentially carcinogenic to humans, as it has been found to cause cancer in rats that inhaled the particles.
As most mineral makeups are in a loose, powder form, it is unclear at this point if it will pose a future threat to humans. One of the biggest complaints regarding mineral makeup is the loose powder spillage and dispersion in the air during application. According to WebMD, however, the fine particulate matter of the makeup may pose other concerns. Minerals like zinc and titanium are safe when applied to healthy skin but in a micronized nanoparticle form, there remains a concern, particularly when applied to damaged skin, or when inhaled.
Mica. Though to be derived from an ancient word for glitter, mica's light diffusing properties have made it a component in eye colors for decades. Highly heat resistant, mica has been prized for centuries and is the predominant component of the sun pyramid just outside of Mexico City. in mineral makeup, mica is used to reflect light, create a shimmering effect or to help disguise fine lines by bending light. Mica was extremely rare and prized throughout Europe during the 19th century. now, mica is easily refined and is one of the truly natural minerals in cosmetics today.
Kaolin/ Kaolinite. this earthy clay hardens to a soft, chalk-like substance. this nearly white mineral is prevalent around the globe, and is another true mineral in mineral cosmetics. because of the absorbent nature of clay, it adheres more uniformly to the contours of facial skin and holds its position better than most liquid foundations. It is kaolin and other clays like it (some companies are using Mediterranean clay, commonly known as illite, which is a cousin to kaolinite) that gives mineral make-up the long lasting coverage for which it is popular.
So if you have to choose, mineral make-up is probably the lesser of all cosmetic evils, and even a great choice for people with acne-prone skin. The clay helps to absorb excess oils, and gives a flawless professional finish with even coverage. One mineral to steer clear of, however is bismuth oxychloride. While this element is technically a mineral, it does not occur naturally, and Bismuth is a byproduct of lead and copper processing according to the experts at WebMD. It is strongly cautioned that people with sensitive skin, rosacea or chronic acne avoid this ingredient, as it is considered a skin irritant and can cause itching and rashes and in large amounts it can cause cystic acne.
For normal to oily skin, nature's minerals are a blessing, but for dry/sensitive skin, heavy applications of mineral makeup can be too drying on the skin, emphasizing fine lines and weighing down the skin's appearance. a simple trick to improve the coverage without applying a second coat? Mist your face to add a bit of moisture before applying the makeup, and consider using a less diffuse applicator brush. The smaller the brush, the heavier and more direct the coverage. as technology and testing catches up with this cosmetic trend, watch for mineral makeup that is actually proven suitable for sensitive skin. It's only a matter of time.
Novelty contacts are colored contacts that change your eye color or give some unnatural appearance to your eye. the difference between normal color contacts and novelty is the fact that novelty is used only for cosmetic (to change the appearance of your eyes) and they have no corrective effect to your vision. they are also known as non-prescription colored contacts (the difference between them is that there isn't a prescription choice for novelty contacts).even though they don't require a prescription, you are strongly recommended to visit an eye doctor to see what kind of contact lenses are good for your eyes in order not to hurt them.
Novelty contacts are mostly theatrical contacts that have unnatural look or some special effect on them. if you've seen some crazy looking eyes (like vampire eyes) in movies or theatre, they have most likely used these to get this effect. Although these are used also professionally, but anyone can get these for their own or for others' pleasure for cheap prices (although these cost usually little more than regular color contacts).
You can use these if you want to make your own movie or a play, that way you can get quite the professional look to it. these are also popular when role playing at different events some game, cartoon and movie characters that have some extraordinary eyes. there are also some that look really cool if you decide to go party to some club because you can that way easily get attention there without the eyes actually looking that unnatural.
These are opaque contacts so instead of just adding color to your original eye color, they will change it completely. That is why these are good for both dark and light eyes (those contacts that only will add color or enhance your original eye color won't have much effect on dark eyes).
You can buy these from most color contacts shops(online stores have usually very wide selections). When it's near Halloween, there will be novelty contacts everywhere because they're quite popular when dressing as a zombie or a werewolf.During Halloween you can easily scare the old lady living next to you by having a pair of those freaky eyes
Bare essentials makeup manufactures a line of pure mineral makeup called bare minerals. it is made from the purest mineral compounds nature has to offer. the minerals are grounded into very fine powder, that, when dusted onto your face, provides a healthy foundation that actually covers up uneven skin tones and flaws.
There are three main minerals responsible for the quality of this makeup; zinc oxide, it soothes the skin, lessens redness, and delivers high sunscreen protection. Titanium dioxide, it resists absorption, so it form mineral makeup is free of preservatives, perfumes and other artificial ingredients that are known to irritate sensitive skin and cause blemishes. the pureness of the bare essential makeup enables one to sleep in it and not worry of clogging pores.
In fact, the firms that make them claim that many users notice a real improvement in their skins texture and condition with a few weeks of steady use. Rosacea and acne appear to show a reduction in symptoms, ultra rays are prevented with the natural sunscreen. Bare essential entails a line of quality makeup brushes, designed to distribute the minerals evenly over ones.
The application of the mineral requires one to follow the necessary procedure so as to have results that are satisfactory. first of all swirl using the appropriate brush in the loose foundation base, then tap the excess back into the jar and lastly buff the minerals over your face, blending until you achieve smooth, even coverage.
The bare essentials may be good for the skin, but it's also good for something else, the pocket. Though its cost range is comparable to other high makeup lines, it doesn't come with a short range expiring date. hence there is no throwing it away before it is finished, so it is worth to try.
Up until about fifteen to twenty years ago, young children needing glasses would refuse to wear them because it looked like the glasses were swallowing up their face. all that was really available for small faces were these plastic frames with big thick rims. Those kids that could get by with not wearing their glasses all of the time would take them off once they got to school so other children wouldn't make fun of them. This is despite the fact that having trouble seeing the chalkboard was the main reason for the glasses in the first place. Then there were those kids who had to wear them all of the time because they couldn't see without them. Those were usually the children having to endure names such as four eyes from various other kids throughout the day.
Now when we look at a classroom full of children, we find that many of them are wearing eyeglasses. We may even find that those kids that were making fun of other children for wearing huge glasses are now adults who have to have them themselves. Such conditions as nearsightedness and farsightedness do not spare many individuals. Fortunately, sight screenings at school help spot these conditions before they can really have a toll on a child's schoolwork. What results is that child having to have glasses, but, fortunately, getting glasses nowadays is not as painful as it used to be.
Eyeglasses can be considered cool if they fit properly. many eyeglass distributors offer children's eyeglasses so that your child has a perfectly proportioned pair of eyeglasses on his or her face. it isn't like twenty years ago when the options were limited because not as many children were being diagnosed with eye conditions. now large designer companies are making eyeglasses for kids that look fantastic on them. you just have to be mindful of what looks best on your child or they could be made fun of for their glasses not looking right on them.
Things to take into consideration:
oThe size of your child's face
oThe shape of your child's face
oThe shape of the glasses being tried
oThe size of the glasses being tried
Your child's face shape and size is going to be a huge determining factor in what size and shape of glasses they wear. There are frames that are square, round, and oval. you can try all of these to see which looks best. Frames are also made out of both wire metal and plastic, so you can also see which looks best. some are even rimless, which can give the illusion that your child is not wearing glasses.
If your child has very bad eyesight, then you can see about having thinner lenses placed within the frame. Technology is now available that allows you to have the lenses thinned without hampering the prescription. This eliminates the illusion that your child is looking through the bottom of a glass soda bottle.
Glasses are cool
If you take into consideration shape, size, and lens thinning options, then your child is going to look really great in his or her new glasses. it isn't so much of a curse as it used to be, but it can be if the glasses are not the right fit. by having the right fit, other kids are either going to tell your child that they like their glasses or they're not really going to care that the glasses are even there. Most importantly, a good fit is also going to ensure that your child is going to be able to see everything that needs to be seen.
Aromatherapy - ancient methods in a modern world is our caption and the more you research the origins of aromatherapy the more you realise just how true this is from the most ancient times plant flowers, berries and leaves have been used in healing the body and twigs burnt for their scents which then affected the emotions or senses. it is only as time has passed that our scientific understanding is increasingly confirming the contribution of natural plants to our general state of well being. In this article we will trace the history of aromatherapy and the use of essential oils from ancient times to modern day.
Archaeologists have found traces of many plants of known medicinal value in the burial places and living sites of early human races and often the use of the plants may have been connected with religious or superstitious practices. The oldest recorded reference to plants used for medical purposes dates back to 10,000BC. The earliest people found that berries and leaves would help wounds and the leaves and roots helped sick people to feel better. certain twigs and branches when placed on a fire would make people either drowsy or feel excited and some claimed to have mystical experiences
3000 years B.C. found the Egyptians using aromatics for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. They used it to embalm their dead and perfume contributed much to their public and private lives. on great occasions the slave girls used to dance with perfumed cones on their heads. They made medicinal cakes, ointments, pastes as well as pills, powders and purees from a wide selection of trees and plants. In many pyramids large quantities of cosmetic jars have been discovered. Scents such as Frankincense were still discernable from these and there are records of Cedar and Cypress being imported. Plants that were used included aniseed, castor oil, coriander, cumin and garlic to name but a few. In wall paintings that have been discovered it is evident that by the 3rd century BC the Egyptians had a primitive form of distillation.
Early Babylonian doctors made records of their formulas and prescriptions on tablets made from clay. They did not record the quantities which they used but they did give careful details of when the remedies should be prepared and taken. Merodach Baladan was the king of Babylon in 702 BC and was one of the Babylonian kinds who took a great interest in the planting and use of medicinal plants. In the gardens of Babylonian times it was possible to find garlic, fennel, saffron, thyme, caraway, coriander, juniper, myrrh and roses .. many of these names you will identify with the use of essential oils in today's society.
In Babylonian texts like the laws of Hammurabi (1792-1750/43 BCE) it described the surgeon's responsibilities and how much he should be paid. Pay was good, but penalties for mistakes harsh: If a physician performs a major operation on a lord. and causes his death.. they shall cut off his hand. Only wounds, fractures and abscesses were treated surgically. A Sumerian clay tablet (2150 BCE) describes wounds being washed in beer and hot water, poultices made from pine, prunes, wine dregs and lizard dung, and use of bandages (for a nose-bleed). other texts describe the symptoms and prognosis of epilepsy, bronchitis and scurvy. A list of 230 medicines using plant, animal and mineral ingredients was found in an Assyrian pharmacy and records of distillation of cedar oil prove that this was an earlier invention than previously thought.
Ancient Greece, as with Ancient Rome and Ancient Egypt, played an important part in medical history. The most famous of all Ancient Greek doctors was Hippocrates. Hippocrates recommended aromatic baths and massages to promote and maintain good health.
Gods dominated the lives of the Greeks. Natural occurrences were explained away by using gods. This, however, did not occur in medicine where Ancient Greek physicians tried to find a natural explanation as to why someone got ill and died.
The Greeks were practicing medicine 1000 years before the birth of Christ. In the 'Iliad' by Homer, injured soldiers were treated by doctors and the Greek leader in the tale, Menelaus, was treated for an arrow wound by a doctor-in-arms, Machaon.
The Greeks acquired much of their medical expertise from the Egyptians although they made many of their own discoveries. Olive oil was abundant and they used it to absorb the odour from flowers and herbs for both medicinal and cosmetic purposes. In Hippocrates writings references were made to a number of narcotics including opium, mandrake and belladonna as well as food plants such as quince and rhubarb. He wrote Let your medicine be your food and your food be your medicine - a principle which if applied would undoubtedly improve many people's lives in today's society
Another Greek named Galen knew a wide number of Simples from which he prepared his remedies and he wrote a great deal about plant medicine. He invented the original cold cream which formed the prototype of virtually all ointments in use today.
Yet another Greek, Dioscorides was responsible for writing Materia Medica a vast volume detailing the attributes of medicinal plants. The works of these three men were translated into Arabic languages.
A short time ago I came across an article penned by a local man who had been caddying since he was a kid. Few courses still have caddies. But back then many courses had them. during his career he had caddied for players with both high and low golf handicaps. he had even caddied for a few professional golfers in his time that had wandered into town for one tournament or another.
The caddy chatted about a number of things, like the changes he saw during his time on the bags, such as the introduction of metal shafts and metal clubheads on drivers. The best part of his article, though, was his take on what he thought was the difference between weekend golfers and professional golfers. Below are some of the golf tips he thought would help weekend players trim strokes from their golf handicaps.
Play To Your Strengths
Playing good golf isn't about shaping shots. It's about shaping shots to your strength. Many players with high golf handicaps don't play this way. instead, they let the course dictate their shots. In other words, they hit without thinking. Then play whatever lie they get-uphill, downhill, etc.. But smart golfers control their shots. they look for targets that favor their strengths-even if they're adept at working the ball. In most cases they stick with what comes naturally-no matter where the pin is on the green. Play to your strengths and you'll cut strokes off your golf handicap.
Stick with Your Routines
Pre-shot routines are the key to consistency. Players like Justin Leonard and Jim Furyk are known for their pre-shot routines. But fans don't realize the amount of pressure professional golfers face. To achieve consistency under great pressure, pro golfers use a routine for each shot. this systematic approach ensures that the golfer is in the right frame of mind to hit a shot. more importantly, it ensures proper setup, which, in turn, dictates proper positioning of the body. Develop a routine you're comfortable with. And remember to set the club first before the body.
Keep a Solid forward Leg
Not keeping a solid forward leg is among the most common errors instructors see in golf lessons. Watch the pros on TV-men or women-and you'll notice that that they all keep a solid forward leg. they have to if they want to generate the kind of shots they need to compete on the tour. a solid forward leg helps you swing along your body, not around it. Keep the knees flexed, but the forward leg solid. You'll see both your ballstriking and shotmaking greatly improve.
Golf is as much mental as it is physical-maybe more. One of the keys to conquering the mental side of golf is not letting bad shots get to you. That's why it's important to acknowledge-and accept-that you will occasionally hit a bad shot. Nobody hits perfect shots every time, not even Tiger Woods. And sometimes, luck works against you. It's okay to get a little angry now and then, but don't let that anger get to you. And don't dwell on it. Let it go. move on. There's nothing you can do about the bad shot anyways. It's done. Focus on the next shot. Remember, winning is a positive state of mind.
Use Shadowing Putting
Professional golfers are all great putters. when they err, it usually isn't mechanical. It's things like keeping their eyes on the putter head or poor rhythm. To combat this, the pros use a simple drill, called shadow putting. when it's your turn to putt, turn your back to the sun so it casts a shadow in front of you. while watching your shadow, make a few practice strokes. Imagine you're swinging to the beat of a metronome. Once you have your rhythm, move to the putt. In golf instruction sessions, instructors tell people to back off the putt if they feel their rhythm is off. Then take a few practice strokes emulating the metronome all the while. That's good advice.
One other golf tip from the caddy is to perfect your posture. Good posture leads to proper weight shift and a more fluid release through the ball. Weekend golfers often over look good posture as a key fundamental, as they do the other fundamentals in this article. But my thinking is: if a fundamental is important enough for the pros, it's important enough for myself and players trying to whittle down their golf handicaps.

You've been invited to a dinner and as you enter the room, the first thing you see is a table that appears to go on forever, draped and skirted in plain white linen, several stainless steel chafing dishes huddled side by side atop a drab lifeless, absence-of-color buffet except for the decorations of green foliage that resemble the weeds in your backyard. you think to yourself, what an ugly table. It's going to take forever to get through the line and I bet the food isn't any good either so why bother instead of looking for your seat; you look for the door.
The design of the table and the food goes hand in hand, said Ken Stewart, Banquet Manager at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. When you walk up to a buffet, it's a lot like window shopping. it should capture your attention and make your mouth water; so much so that you can't wait to dig in. Perception is reality. if the table looks good, the food looks good; therefore, it must taste good.
As the old adage goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression; this is especially true in the food service industry, and everyone remembers their first impression. So how do you make a visual impact and turn ordinary into awesome and blah into beautiful? Dress to impress by dressing the table in vibrant colored linens and coordinated skirting with interesting patterns and textures, and eye-popping dcor, in varying elevations; you will have a spectacularly designed, take-your-breath-away presentation that will stand out in a crowd.
The presentation of a beautifully appointed buffet table sets the tone of the room and the evening, said Frank Gregory, Senior Catering Sales Manager at the Bellagio Hotel. When guests walk into a room for an evening event, they're not really sure what to expect or how to position themselves for the
evening. When you walk into a room that is set for a buffet dinner, especially in today's society it creates an atmosphere of relaxation.
The birth of the buffet in Las Vegas is attributed to the late publicist Herb McDonald, who inspired the all-you-can-eat buffet in 1946 more out of hunger than genius. one night while working late at the El Rancho Hotel, McDonald brought some cheese and cold cuts from the kitchen and laid them out on the bar to make a sandwich. Gamblers walking by said they were hungry, and the buffet was born. Gambling Magazine, July 10, 2002.
But according to food historians, the first buffet was a type of cabinet or dresser that originated in France in the 18th century. Small amounts of food were placed on this buffet to serve small groups of people. The buffet has since evolved into one of the most effective ways to serve large groups of people, a large variety of food in a relatively short amount of time with maximum efficiency. The buffet has carved out a distinct niche in today's marketplace and can be found in casual and upscale venues and private establishments around the country.
With the Thomas & Mack Center doing buffets at approximately 85-90% of the over 2300 separate catered events we host per year, the presentation of the buffets are critical to our success, said Cheryl Sogovio, CPCE, Director of Catering and Convention Services and Vice President of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). we always analyze the entire event, including room size, program, profile of attendee, etc., to ensure that we select the proper placement, length and design of the buffet. if we don't, service can be negatively affected causing poor flow, ineffective service times and dissatisfied guests. In addition to placement, how the buffet is designed and decored effects the overall guest experience. As we all know that people eat with their eyes first, we strive to make the buffet a visual experience, adding to the overall ambience of the event, said Sogovio.
Not only has the buffet evolved; diner's palates have become more sophisticated and discriminating, and if they are expected to serve themselves, they expect to walk up to a beautifully embellished table and feast their eyes and indulge their taste buds on a bountiful buffet filled with a variety of sumptuous foods deliciously prepared, appropriately garnished and chock-full of savory aromas and mouth-watering flavors. They want an adventure, they want to be entertained and they want to be wowed
The expression that 'people eat with their eyes' is one I live by when designing a buffet table, said Annie Kang-Drachen, Director of Sales and Catering at the Department of Food & Beverage Management, UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. not only is a well-designed buffet a WOW factor, it enhances the meal. It's the palate teaser; the first impression you have before actually tasting the food. People are more cultured nowadays and their expectations are higher than ever.
While the success of any meal depends largely on the quality and taste of the food, a presentation of dazzling dcor will bring life to the table and reflect the expertise and imagination of the culinary team. A table laden with a magnificent spread of festive foods and lavish, over-the-top displays will heighten the guest's experience by creating a mood and evoking emotion.
Although a table design doesn't always call for elaborate and expensive decorations, it is important that the decorations compliment the food, not distract from it. you don't have to be a creative genius, an event designer or have a background in catering to understand that food displayed on a buffet table looks much more appetizing when the table is perfectly appointed. To achieve affect, drama and intrigue, the use of eclectic props and eye-catching designs; that keep within the theme of the venue or the spirit of the event, will exceed the expectations of the guests. Chafing dishes, serving bowls and trays, in different shapes and sizes; glowing unscented candles; lush blooming flower arrangements and potted plants; balloon bouquets and ice carvings to intricate edible fruit and vegetable displays, set on graduated pedestals and lifts, are items that will provide height, balance, symmetry and dimension to a table and are important components to the presentation. Party lights add color; fountains add sound. Infinite possibilities abound. I like to suggest custom props. They're interesting and relate to the client's company, or fun themed props that match the buffet or the venue itself, said Evelyn Ramos, Senior Sales and Catering Manager at the Las Vegas House of Blues. Florals and logo'd ice sculptures add elegance, a little attitude and definition to a buffet table. whatever the client chooses, the buffet table has to look amazing or it will make the food look unexciting.
I spoke with Lisa Fuller from the Aladdin Buffet to find out why they are voted the no. 1 Buffet in Las Vegas. Aside from the fact that our food is superior and delicious, our buffet is welcoming. The international stations are themed and some are decorated with authentic artifacts indigenous from the nation it represents. I don't think people realize how important both service and aesthetics are to a presentation. Our buffet is well-designed and user-friendly, in other words, easily accessible and attractive. When the guests walk into our restaurant, you can tell; they just can't wait to get up to the buffet. They smile and ooh and awe because it's a really pretty display. The food is fresh and colorfully coordinated; I mean the color just pops, and the chafers are always full and the stations are always clean.
Table function and design. The set up has to be functional; it doesn't have to be boring. Fortunately, the lay out is no longer limited to a single row of rectangular tables. Serpentine, half moon and round banquet tables are stylish, interchangeable and balance out the room. The trick on a Caterer's part is to make the buffet interesting, have enough stations throughout the room so there are not unending lines of waiting, said Gregory.
Placement. Proper placement is crucial. A food table set near the entrance, the stage or the bar will create mass confusion. The table should be positioned so that it flows without turning into an obstacle course of confused diners running into each other. Space permitting, a double-sided buffet will service guests more efficiently and expeditiously, and it is always more feasible to separate the action stations, the dessert table and the beverages from the main buffet if possible. this will avoid traffic jams and allow guests to move freely and smoothly from one table to the next.
Meeting planners are always interested in the placement and presentation of the buffet, said Ramos. one of their biggest concerns is for order and convenience so that the guests won't have to backtrack which ultimately causes a bottleneck and slows down the line. Lighting is important; it will accent the food and is critical to the safety of the guests. everything on the buffet, from dishes to dcor, must be secure and balanced and set back from the edge, in case someone accidentally bumps the table. I avoid setting a large number of glass objects and items that can fall over easily. Broken glass flying at a guest or into the food and tipped over candles are extremely dangerous and a recipe for disaster. Order and layout. With all of the creative ways to decorate a table, it's easy to create clutter. A spaciously set buffet is aesthetically appealing and convenient. make a station clear with an even flow so the guest doesn't have to look for silver, plates, linen/napery, potatoes at one end, meat at another, salad who knows where. The trend is definitely to make it more interesting, action-oriented and fun; much harder to do for those parties of several thousand but much more memorable than the old soup line/cafeteria style. Food is fun as exemplified by the enormous popularity of today's TV cooking shows. Quality and presentation is never out of style, said Gregory.
With the influx of new and unique restaurants, and the migration of famous restaurateurs and celebrity chefs at the top of their game, Las Vegas is fast becoming the dining capital of the world, and the quintessential capital of the buffets. Tourists no longer come to gamble and clients no longer come solely for the convention experience; they come to dine out and buffets are a popular choice. Whether the table design is in celebration of the holidays, the seasons, a special occasion or a specific theme, buffets are an appealing style of service, and if you want to create a truly memorable event, you need to spend time designing and decorating the table. it will be one of the first things people notice when entering the room, and it needs to be the most impressive part of the room. Think of the buffet table in terms of a magnet; it should pull the guests toward it. Since a large part of the evening's social interaction will take place in line, the atmosphere surrounding the table should be comfortable and welcoming and the dcor and design should be unique and exciting. this will make a positive first and long-lasting impression with your guests.

Bathroom lighting ideas can be derived from a variety of sources. Vanity light fixtures provide consistent lighting around the mirror of one's bathroom. The lighting sources you use will allow you to view your figure in the most optimal lighting. For example, optimal lighting in a bathroom is ideal for women when it comes to applying makeup. The size and position of a bathroom mirror will determine the type of bathroom lighting fixtures that you use in your bathroom. Mirrors that are less than five feet in length should have one to two lights on either side of the mirror to optimize the lighting ambiance of the room. For mirrors that are larger in length, it is considered prudent to add lights above the mirror. if additional lighting is required, lights may be added underneath the mirror as well.
The overall size of the bathroom lighting fixtures that one uses is decided upon the size of the mirror. if you are mounting lighting only on the sides of the mirror, then the vanity light fixtures you use should be the same height as the mirror. furthermore, lighting sources that are being added above or below the mirror should not exceed the length of the mirror. Generally, most designers will determine the number of lights to be used by the size of the mirror as well. For every two feet of height that a mirror has, one light should be added. Additionally, in terms of length, one light should be added for foot of the mirror. The goal of lighting is to be consistent and shadow free. however, you should feel free to experiment with different bathroom lighting ideas.
The overall appearance of your bathroom will be a determinant in selecting the vanity light fixtures that you choose. Ideally, your bathroom lighting ideas should appear to seamlessly blend with the dcor of your bathroom. For example, an individual who has a bathroom with light brown walls should opt for bathroom light fixtures in a dark brown frame. The design structure of the lighting fixtures you choose should blend with the overall appearance of other fixtures in your bathroom, such as the sink faucet or the countertop. For example, if the other fixtures in your bathroom are constructed of bronze, then the lighting fixture you choose should have elements or accents of bronze to create an overall cohesive feel to the bathroom.
